Your body CAN do that extra rep
Your body CAN run those few extra metres
Your body CAN hold that squat a few seconds longer
It's your mind that wants you to stop!!
Whenever I get to that point, where I'm about to give in and stop, I say this to myself...
"You've got to want the results, more than you want to stop"
And I do! Do you?
Do you want to have people notice a positive change in your body?
Do you want to feel more confident in your own skin?
Do you want to proudly strut the beaches this Summer?
Do you want to be able to keep up with your kids?
And loads of other reasons for doing exercise!
I know I want the results, and I want them more than I want this set to finish!!!
So I get that second wind, I give it my all...
And guess what usually happens?
I manage 3 more reps, possibly then another 3 and then even 2 more and then potentially one more!
So now I've done 9 more reps than I was planning to!
I've therefore demanded more from my body, so it then has to adapt and evolve to prepare itself for this level of demand next time, and so on and so forth, until the body/goals/fitness/health we were seeking, is achieved! (assuming our nutrition is on point!)
Break through the mental barrier and keep working to better yourselves team!
