Whats great about training in a group

So at Body Shape fitness we have always run sessions in a group environment led by a personal trainer. 

This means we can help as many people as possible, but it also has HUGE benefits for our members too. 

For many of our members the thought of going to the gym and training solo is just not appealing. It could be because they find the gym environment intimidating, or they have tried it before but find themselves stalling on their progress due to being unfamiliar with the huge array of machines and equipment. It can also be hard to continue to be consistent if you're training solo, as there is no accountability. 

Finding a group training environment where you are coached through the exercises and constantly pushed to give more and leave your comfort zone, an environment where you feel supported and welcomed as part of the group from your first sessions, training sessions that are designed to get maximum results in 3 short sessions per week, and workouts that are carefully planned to be engaging and challenging in equal measure, is key to consistency and long term commitment to achieving goals, and more importantly maintaining them. 

Group training is a very social way to workout and many of our members become friends outside of the sessions, going on trips together, meeting for coffee and celebrating birthdays and big events. Having connections like those of like minded people is so great for everyone involved and can combat feelings of loneliness and isolation, improve mental health and highly improve your adherence to the program. Meaning you have someone to show up for, you're going to see your friends, and have a catch up whilst also getting in a workout and improving your health and fitness.
