Tips to help you feel more energised and less tired
There are many different factors that can lead to increased levels of tiredness, some of these can be due to stress, poor diet, poor hydration, or poor sleep quality and even inactivity.
Regular exercise and movement is key, it releases endorphins which will increase the energy levels throughout the day.
Starting with a simple 10-15 minute walk a few times a week, is a great foundation to build on. Increasing this over time, to the optimal recommended goal of 2 hours and 30 minutes per week of moderate intensity exercise, will increase energy levels throughout the day.
Sleep quality is also vital with regards to having increased energy and feeling less tired.
Some tips for improved sleep are;
- Avoid naps during the day
- Take time to ensure you are relaxed before bed
- Avoid screen before going ti bed
- Set a routine so you go to bed and get out of bed at the same time every day
High levels of stress also contribute to drained energy as well, things such as listening to music, exercising, being social and so on, can massively contribute to lower levels of stress.
Hydration is also vital to providing you with more energy, not drinking enough water can lead to forms of dehydration, especially after exercise or first thing in the morning.
