How can exercise reduce stress?

Exercise is. scientifically proven way to help reduce someone’s stress and anxiety, it does this by helping your brain to release endorphins, which can serve as a "natural painkiller", consistent exercise, even if only 2-3 times a week is proven to increase the amount of endorphins released, which will then lead to reducing stress and anxiety from the brain. 

You will notice even if your muscles feel sore after a big workout, you will notice an improved physical feeling which will then that will aid in improving your overall outlook, after a lighter workout, you will feel more upbeat and energized

Exercise helps to reduce stress in the following ways;

- Helps you to overcome unhealthy thinking patterns by creating new brain neuropathways 

-boosting self confidence 

-working the muscles that have tensed up due to increased stress 

- relaxes you 

- releases "feel good endorphins" 

-reduces inflammation 

- allows your mind to overcome worries by focusing on physical activity 

Whats the best exercise to do to relieve some of my stress and anxiety?

Most studies show that 20-45 minutes exercise a day is the optimal amount to aid in relieving stress and anxiety, although it does not need to all be heavy and intense, a nice brisk walk will often suffice, not all exercise needs to be in a gym, you can do whatever is best fitted for you, a slow steady walk, a run, a gym session or even a boot camp class a few times a week!
