Why routine is key!

With summer coming to a close, and autumn just around the corner, the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer, it has never been more important to have a good routine in place.

Having a good routine has many benefits, some of these mental benefits are; 

lower stress levels and improved mental health, if you have a plan, you feel more in control, you will have made lots of small decisions in advance, and you can focus on making good choices from the ones that remain.

When people do not have a routine or structure in place on their day, it can cause increased stress and anxiety, which in turn can lead to overwhelming feelings, lack of concentration and focus on small tasks throughout the day. 

Having a routine in place can help us act as a roadmap and an anchor through life, having meals at a set time, going to bed at the same time and waking up at the same tie are all scientifically proven to have massive health benefits, once the body and mind is more comfortable and more relaxed, it is a stepping stone to greater all round health.
