Cardio isn’t just running

Did you know that? Cardiovascular exercise is anything that elevates your heart rate and respiration and raises oxygen and blood flow throughout the body. So any type of exercise that gets you out of breath is going to improve your cardiovascular health. By engaging in any type of cardiovascular exercise regularly you will be able to build stronger muscles, including those in your heart which will help to lower blood pressure, increase the good cholesterol, as well help to lower stress, anxiety and help with improvements in type 2 diabetes. 

If you cannot think of anything worse than pounding the pavements or the treadmill in the gym, then here's some great news for you. There are lots of ways to improve your cardiovascular health without the need to run long distances.
